Daniel returns home looking bedraggled and Nicole tells him so. Daniel reveals great news that he has "got it". He found the drugs that poisoned Fr. Eric. In his enthusiasm, Daniel picks up Nicole and spins around with her. When he puts her down, Nicole asks if it is enough evidence to hang Kristen. They sit down on the couch and Daniel tells her he has contacted a colleague who will provide him with the names of doctors that would have access to the drugs. Once they find the doctor, Eric will be exonerated. Nicole and Daniel hug over the good news. The hug sparks something in both of them. Nicole and Daniel quickly recoil and decide maybe it would be best if the pals just shook hands.
Later, Stefano pays Daniel a visit. He is on a mission to see how much Daniel knows. Daniel quickly dismisses prying Stefano. When Stefano leaves, Daniel returns to the hospital to review the list of doctors that had access to the drugs that poisoned Eric. Meanwhile, Stefano makes plans to stop Daniel to protect Kristen.
