At the Horton Town Square, Daniel finds Eric on the ground unconscious. When Eric comes to, Daniel wants to take him to the hospital to get checked out. Eric does not want to encounter publicity. Daniel tells him he will not let that happen.
Daniel smuggles Eric into the ER and tends to his wounds. Eric thanks him. Eric remarks that he has been praying for guidance, but is not receiving any answers. Daniel offers that there has to be some way to clear his name, even if Kristen has left town for decades.
Daniel understands now that Kristen used a masking agent to drug Eric and wipe out his memory. He vows to get to the truth. He will not give up! Eric appreciates Daniel's help and friendship at this very difficult time. Daniel assures Eric that he will get through this.
Daniel returns to his apartment. He sees Nicole busily typing at her keyboard. Nicole tells them they need to talk. The same comment comes from Daniel, they need to talk about Eric.
