At Daniel's apartment, Daniel and Nicole share a kiss. When the kiss ends they both ask if the are going to do this relationship again. They both agree it would not be a good thing. They both need to be each other's friend. Getting involved in a romantic relationship would change things between them.
Nicole tells Daniel, she got her job back as a tv reporter. Daniel is thrilled for her and happy she can focus in a new direction.
At the hospital, Daniel approaches Jennifer. He apologizes for subjecting her to the upcoming inquiry at the hospital. Jennifer cuts him down. Telling him to get over himself. The only thing she feels for him now is disdain.
