At Daniel's apartment, Maggie learns that Nicole is staying in his guest room. She declines his invitation to stay there. Not because of Nicole, but because she needs to be alone. She knew what kind of man Victor was before she married him. It is hard for her to forgive Victor for letting Marlena hurt Eric. Daniel admits that Victor will protect his own at any cost. He also calls Victor a moron. Maggie is the best thing that has ever happened to Victor.
Hope stops by to see Daniel. She records his statement on Eric's poisoning. Daniel does not believe he can find evidence against Kristin at this point. Hope turns off the recorder and comments on how Daniel could hurt Jennifer so badly. Daniel reminds Hope that Jennifer broke up with him. He has taken an oath to help people. He was obligated to take Theresa to the hospital the night she overdosed. He had no idea Jennifer would be there. Hope thinks there is more to the story, but Daniel is done with the Theresa conversation.
Hope leaves. Daniel is sitting alone when Nicole enters. He tells her he was worried about her. He asks if she is ok. She says she is not and thinks she never will be.
