Daniel is dreaming of Jennifer when he gets a frantic call from JJ to come alone to Theresa's place. Daniel arrives and finds Theresa has overdosed. He finds a pulse and tells JJ to call 911. JJ freaks out and tells Daniel about her doing the drugs. Daniel calls the paramedics. He orders JJ to get his stuff and leave, making sure no one sees him. Daniel tells him, the judge will send him to prison if he is connected with Theresa's overdose. JJ hastily gathers his things and leaves. He fumbles and drops things at the doorway. He scoops them up and hurries out of the apartment.
Daniel takes Theresa into the shower and runs water on her to help revive her. The medics arrive and she is transported to the hospital.
At the hospital, rumors are already flowing about Daniel being with Theresa. Hope and Jennifer see Daniel arrive with Theresa. Jennifer questions Daniel why he was even at Theresa's apartment. Daniel sees JJ lurking in the background and simply says "because I was there".
