At Daniel's apartment, Daniel and Jennifer are hashing over her decision to break up with Daniel. Daniel tells her that breaking up will not fix her son. Jennifer stands her ground. JJ comes first in her life. Their discussion is interrupted when Joanna returns to the apartment with Parker. Jennifer leaves.
Daniel laughs with Parker and tells him that he will always come first with him. Daniel realizes what he has just said and now gets what Jennifer is trying to be to her son too.
The phone rings. It is Father Eric. He has had another episode. Daniel kisses Parker goodbye and heads to the rectory with his medical bag. When he gets there, Eric seems to have recovered. Daniel again pushes Eric for additional blood tests. Eric finally agrees. Daniel draws Erics blood hoping the tests will find the answer to what is making Eric sick.
