Daniel has a dream he is in bed kissing Jennifer. He tells her he is so glad she is here. Jennifer tells him she is not here and may never be here again. Daniel awakes startled, shaken by Jennifer's words in the dream.
Later, in the living room, Daniel picks up the letter from Jennifer. He reminisces about talking her into to trying skydiving. Jennifer tells him that she trusts him to keep her safe. Daniel comes back to reality and mockingly says the words "trust".
Daniel takes Fr. Eric his test results. He could find no traces of toxins in the results, but his body produced antibodies to fight the toxins. This leads Daniel to believe the poison was deliberately administered with a masking agent. Eric questions who would do that to him.
