Daniel is greeted by JJ at Jennifer's door. JJ is a bit sarcastic when he tells Daniel "to make himself at home, but then he probably is used to doing that". Clearly JJ resents Daniel for coming into his mother's life. Jennifer arrives, distracted by a phone call from JJ's headmaster. Daniel senses she is upset and accommodates her request to leave so she can speak with JJ alone. She promises to call Daniel later.
At the coffee house, Daniel runs into Abigail and Cameron. He informs Abigail that he just met JJ. He also passes on the information that Jennifer was a bit distracted by JJ's sudden appearance.
After Jennifer's talk with JJ, she touches base with Daniel. She feels things will be just fine now between her and JJ. When his mom goes off to phone Daniel, JJ stares at the photo of Daniel hugging Jennifer on the table.
