JJ stumbles upon Daniel and Jennifer kissing. He goes back and slams the door to announce his arrival. The couple stops kissing. JJ makes a comment about the amount of time Daniel is around the house. Jennifer tells him that Daniel and Parker are always welcomed. JJ makes another comment about Parker taking over his room. Daniel offers to move the train set. JJ reacts indifferently to Daniel's offer. When JJ leaves, Jennifer updates Daniel that JJ has been kicked out of school.
Jennifer gives Daniel a CD of nursery rhymes for Parker. JJ is lurking and overhears how much Daniel likes his mp3 player that was given to him by Melanie.
JJ decides to go running and asks Jen if she has a mp3 player. She says no, but Daniel steps up and kindly offers his. Jen tells JJ to be careful with it as it is important to Daniel.
Later, at the hospital, JJ returns Daniel's MP3 player broken. JJ offers an obligatory apology, but with JJ's cavalier attitude, Daniel has doubts that it is sincere.
