Maggie comes to visit Daniel intent on finding out how his meeting with Jennifer went. Daniel tells her about the clinical trial Jennifer found for him. He also tells her there was no discussion on their relationship issues. Maggie is annoyed that Jennifer would try to push Daniel into this trial too quickly. Daniel replies he only promised Jennifer he would think about it. Maggie abruptly leaves.... off to speak with Jennifer. Daniel gets a phone call from Melanie. He is unaware that Nicole is lurking outside his door. She has come to apologize, but loses her motivation after she hears Daniel tell Melanie he is moving on with his life. Nicole leaves. Daniel asks for Melanie's thoughts about the clinical trial.
Later, Jennifer comes knocking at Daniel's door. She apologizes for overstepping the bounds and knows that Daniel's decisions on the trial should fall on his shoulders. Daniel tells her no apology is needed. He has thought about what she said and he now believes he is going to do the clinical trial.
