Daniel is at the hospital when Eli walks by with a box of baby clothes. He finds out his donation will be used at the hospital. In the background 2 nurses are arguing over a baby item. Dr. Jonas is asked to referee. He gets a call from Maggie requesting he come to see her. After the call, he goes back to nurses station to intervene in the argument, but the quarrel has been tabled. Daniel heads to Maggies. Maggie tries hard to reason with Daniel that leaving Salem with Nicole is wrong. Tears flow, but Daniel stands his ground, saying it is his life and his decision. When he leaves the mansion, Jennifer is on the walkway. He tells both Maggie and Jennifer to butt out and rushes off. When he returns to his apartment, Nicole is anxious. She pleads with Daniel that they need to leave soon. Daniel agrees and hugs her tight.
