Daniel checks on comatose Bo after Hope notices he has moved his fingers. Daniel tells Hope he is heading in the right direction, but he still has a long way to go. Daniel reassures Hope that the progress Bo has made is because of her and to keep up what she has been doing. Daniel runs into Billie at the hospital. He invites her to join him for his dinner break. Billie declines. She feels things are weird between them since Daniel dated her mother and her daughter. Daniel is fine with that, but thinks they can still be friends. Later at the pub, Daniel sees Billie and asks to join her. She agrees. The unexpected date ends with both Daniel and Billie having a good time. They part on a friendly note with Daniel glancing back at Billie as she leaves.
