Daniel returns to Salem and finds Nicole alone and crying in the Horton Town Square. He tries to get her to talk about why she is upset, but she politely dismisses him. When she stands to leave, she becomes faint. Daniel catches her and takes her to the hospital to run tests. When she awakes, Daniel doesn't want her to be alone and sits with her. She finally opens up to him about EJ cheating on her with Sami. Daniel is surprised., he didn't see that one coming. Nicole becomes angry and Daniel holds her as she starts to cry. He later brings back her test results. He is not quite sure how Nicole will take the news.... she is pregnant.
