Daniel returns to the apartment with the pizza. He asks where Melanie is. Serena tells him she had to go pick up something. Daniel gives her a call and she tells him she will be right back. Daniel serves the pizza and begins questioning Serena about her time in Europe with Melanie. Serena gives little information. Daniel gets a call from Chloe and goes off to say goodnight to Parker.
Later, after Eric and Serena leave, Melanie arrives home. She has a box with her. Daniel is suspicious of it's contents and makes Melanie open it. Daniel learns it is a Christmas gift for him, a photo album she had engraved. Their discussion turns toward Nicole. Melanie wants him to be careful trusting Nicole.
