At the hospital, Daniel checks on Paul before his surgery. He meets Paul's agent who is cranky and wants Paul's surgery to go well.
At the nurse's station, Abigail takes time to speak with Daniel. He is glad she got her job back. Abigail tells him that her mom told her that he and Jennifer couldn't work things out. Daniel hopes they can remain friends. Abigail wants that too.
When Daniel operates on Paul, he finds the bone spur in his shoulder that did not show up on the pre op xrays. Daniel was able to repair the damage. He meets with Paul after the surgery assuring him that Maxine knows how to get a hold of him if there is any problem. He leaves Paul to rest. In the waiting room, Paul's agent wants an update, anxious to know if Paul will be ready for spring baseball training. Daniel puts the snarky agent on notice. Daniel's patient is not on a specified timeline, his only concern is to get his patient healed.
