Daniel confronts Theresa about her actions. He wants the truth. Theresa denies having any involvement with Daniel's suspension. Daniel harshly points out that his son could have gotten hold of the pills and died. Theresa is dumbfounded as she had no idea about pills being planted in his apartment. Daniel sees her confusion and realizes she may be involved, but she did not physically plant the pills in his apartment. Anne enters her office and finds that Daniel and Theresa quarreling. She puts her authoritative hat on and throws Daniel out of her office. Daniel leaves.
Later, at Daniel's apartment, Eric stops by. Daniel tells him he is missing something about this case. He thought Theresa and Anne were behind it, but now he questions his thinking.
