Daniel sees the phone number for Child Protective Services on Jennifer's desk. He immediately accuses her of wanting to call them because of Chloe's past. Jennifer begins to deny the accusation, but Daniel gets paged to an emergency and rushes off. Daniel runs into Billie and angrily puts her on notice that he wants to see Kate immediately. Billie forewarns Kate.
Chloe finds Daniel and wants to finish their conversation. Daniel gives her the benefit of the doubt. He holds no bad feelings toward her and he knows that she is a good mother to Parker. Chloe is overjoyed with his reaction and hugs him. Daniel breaks off the hug and tries to find Jennifer. When Jennifer arrives back at the hospital, Daniel apologizes to her. He wants her to know that he will always trust her and love her. Jennifer is relieved. Daniel kisses Jennifer.
