Daniel's search for Nicole continues. He frantically clears away debris in order to find her under the rubble. He can no longer hear her voice. He tells Bo and Hope that Nicole has a high risk pregnancy. He worries that Nicole has passed out. Hope sees Daniel's exhaustion and tells him to take a break, but Daniel says no. He must get to Nicole. Without warning, debris falls and hits Daniel, cutting him on the head. Hope tends to his wound and Daniel goes back to work. With Bo's help the debris is cleared to where Nicole had cried for help. Daniel is stunned when Nicole is no where to be found.
