Nicole finds Daniel in his office frustrated with the loss of Lexie. Nicole has brought him a gift to thank him for his help with the DNA test. Daniel is on guard. He questions Nicole if she was playing him. Nicole goes on the defensive and asks him the same question, but admits she did play him to a small degree. They both express their feelings about their kiss. The both felt something. Daniel tells her that honesty can go a long way in a relationship. Sexual tension builds. Daniel and Nicole are about to kiss again, but Dr. Daniel receives a page and gets called away.
